Dr. Merrill has been practicing comprehensive and refractive surgical ophthalmology on the Central Coast since 1995. Dr. Merrill has performed thousands of major eye surgeries and is an expert in the fields of glaucoma, cataract, and refractive lens and laser surgery. His patients have included many doctors, nurses, lawyer, civic leaders and several NBA players and even white tigers and exotic animals.
He has served as a Captain in the Medical Corp of the US Army, a volunteer missionary in Italy, a disaster relief worker internationally and domestically and enjoys medical and surgical volunteer work. He is married with three children.
He is a native of California's Central Coast and as a youth, earned his Eagle Scout award and still serves as a volunteer leader with the Boy Scouts of America, as well as several other local charitable organizations.
