SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA October 20, 2015—Help Pacific Eye donate $10,000 to local non-profit organizations through its fifth annual Pacific Eye Gives Back Challenge. The challenge is designed to highlight the outstanding organizations that make positive change visible on the Central Coast.
After hundreds of community members participated in the recent nomination phase, the following 10 organizations were selected by Pacific Eye to move on to the voting round:
- Along Comes Hope
- Captive Hearts Recovery
- Civic Ballet of San Luis Obispo
- Glean SLO
- Parents for Joy
- Peoples’ Self-Help Housing
- RISE SLO County
- Special Olympics of Northern Santa Barbara County
- Transitions-Mental Health Association
- United Way of SLO County
Community members can vote for their charity of choice one of three ways starting Monday, October 24th through Thanksgiving Day, November 24th:

- Or, visit any Pacific Eye office on the Central Coast and fill out a written ballot at the front desk.
Participants can vote once per day for the duration of the contest. The organization with the most votes will receive a $5,000 donation; second place will receive $2,250; third place will receive $1,000. Pacific Eye will donate $250 to each of the remaining organizations in the contest.

At the close of this year’s contest, Pacific Eye will have donated $45,000 to local non-profits throughout San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara Counties since the contest’s start in 2012.
